Smart reminder

A smart reminder is a reminder that adapts cadence, channel and content to recipient behaviour — and stops the moment the underlying item arrives.

Dumb reminders fire on a fixed schedule and keep firing even after the recipient has done what was asked. Smart reminders are scoped per item, escalate cadence over time, switch channel from email to SMS for stragglers, and stop on submission.

In RequestLoops, smart reminders are configured per request. Email goes via Mailgun, SMS via Brevo with GSM-7 transliteration. Cadence and channel are tunable per template.
