E-signature
An e-signature is an electronic record of consent on a document, recognised as legally binding in most jurisdictions for most use cases.
E-signatures are recognised in EU (eIDAS), UK (Electronic Communications Act), NZ (Contract and Commercial Law Act) and many others, with different assurance levels for sensitive use cases.
In RequestLoops, e-signatures are inline: a signature item in a request is signed in the portal during the same session as file uploads, with a captured timestamp and IP. No separate e-sign tool is needed for most engagement letters and consent forms.
For high-assurance signatures (notarised contracts, qualified electronic signatures), pair RequestLoops with a dedicated e-sign tool.
