Document request

A document request is a structured list of files, signatures and data items a firm expects from a client β€” the unit of work for any document-collection tool.

A request bundles items together with a recipient list, a deadline, a reminder cadence and a destination (typically a folder in Drive or OneDrive). One request = one tracked deliverable.

In RequestLoops, requests are made up of items (file uploads, signatures, structured fields). Each item has its own status: pending, submitted, validated, rejected. Reminders are scoped per item and stop on submission.

Request templates standardise the structure for engagement types β€” tax, audit, KYC, onboarding, project β€” and are reused per client.
