Client portal
A client portal is a branded web space where clients submit documents, sign, and check the status of a request β the alternative to managing it all through email.
Most modern document-collection workflows centre on a portal. The portal carries the firmβs brand, lists what is required, and accepts uploads, signatures and structured field input.
A client request portal is the narrower variant: instead of a permanent logged-in workspace, each document request gets its own portal page scoped to that request. Access is by tokenised link rather than username and password, so clients land directly on the checklist they were sent β nothing to register for, nothing to forget.
In RequestLoops, the portal is tokenised β every recipient gets a unique link and never has to create an account. The portal supports file uploads, inline e-signatures, structured fields, and an optional chatbot for recipient questions.
Portal access is governed by rate limiting and tokens that can be rotated. Submissions are encrypted at rest and synced to Drive or OneDrive after completion.
FAQ
- What is a client request portal?
- A client request portal is a portal scoped to a single document request rather than a whole client relationship. The recipient opens a tokenised link and sees only that request β the items due, what has been submitted and what is still missing. RequestLoops portals work this way: no client account, no password, one link per request.
