BAS

A BAS (Business Activity Statement) is the form Australian businesses lodge with the ATO reporting GST, PAYG and other tax obligations.

BAS is typically lodged quarterly. Bookkeepers chase the source documents (bank statements, supplier bills, payroll runs) from the client to prepare the BAS.
