Recurring document collection for monthly and quarterly cycles
Recurring runs turn a request template into a scheduled task: monthly bookkeeping inputs, quarterly BAS or GST documents, annual audit PBC. Define the cadence once, never re-send the checklist.
Choose the right cadence
Common cadences: monthly (bookkeeping receipts, payroll changes), quarterly (BAS, GST, board packs), annual (tax return, audit PBC, RC Pro renewals). Pick the cadence the client already lives by.
Build the template once
A request template lists every item the client must provide. Add file uploads, signatures, structured fields, and conditional logic.
Spawning the run
RequestLoops checks recurring schedules every minute (every five minutes in production) and spawns a new run when one is due. The recipient gets a fresh portal link with the same checklist.
Reminders and escalation
Reminders escalate cadence and channel. SMS escalation is configurable on every plan.
Closing the loop
When every item is in, the run closes and the next is queued. You see the cadence at a glance: how many ran on time, how many slipped.
FAQ
- Can I pause a recurring run?
- Yes. Pause from the request settings; resume when ready.
- What happens if a client misses a run?
- The previous run stays open until completed; the next run still spawns on schedule. You can manually merge them if needed.
- Can different items have different cadences?
- Yes — split items across multiple recurring requests with their own cadence.
